Our Commitment

Building a Circular Economy

At Stockton Pallet Co., we believe the pallet industry has a responsibility to lead — not follow — when it comes to environmental stewardship. Every year, millions of pallets end up in landfills across America. We're working to change that by keeping pallets in circulation longer, recovering materials at end-of-life, and minimizing waste at every stage of the process. Our goal is simple: zero pallets to landfill.

Our Impact

The Numbers Speak

Real results from our commitment to keeping pallets out of landfills and resources in circulation.

2.5M+
Pallets Recycled Annually

Pallets given a second, third, or fourth life through our repair and recycling programs.

18,000+
Trees Saved Per Year

By reusing and repairing pallets instead of producing new ones from virgin lumber.

4,200
Tons CO2 Reduced

Estimated annual carbon dioxide reduction from our repair-first, recycle-second approach.

96%
Landfill Diversion Rate

Nearly everything that enters our facility is reused, repaired, or recycled — virtually nothing goes to waste.

What We Do

Our Green Initiatives

Sustainability goes beyond recycling pallets. It's embedded in how we run our entire operation.

Zero-Waste Operations

Broken boards become mulch, sawdust, or biomass fuel. Nails and hardware are collected for metal recycling. We have engineered our process so that every material stream is captured and redirected — nothing leaves our facility destined for a landfill.

Fleet Optimization

Our delivery routes are planned using optimization software to minimize empty miles and fuel consumption. Consolidated pickups and deliveries reduce total trips, cutting our transportation-related emissions by an estimated 30% year-over-year.

Solar Powered Facility

Our Stockton facility is powered by a rooftop solar array that generates the majority of our electricity needs. Combined with LED lighting and energy-efficient equipment, our energy footprint continues to shrink every year.

Water Conservation

Pallet cleaning and treatment processes use a closed-loop water system that recycles and filters water for reuse. Storm water runoff is captured and managed to prevent contamination of local waterways.

Carbon Comparison

Pallet Carbon Footprint

See how choosing recycled or repaired pallets dramatically reduces your environmental impact compared to buying new.

New Pallet
28.5 kg
CO2 per pallet
  • Virgin lumber harvesting
  • Sawmill processing energy
  • Manufacturing & assembly
  • Transportation from factory
  • Full carbon cost per unit
Recycled Pallet
8.2 kg
CO2 per pallet
  • Salvaged & dismantled materials
  • Sorting & cleaning process
  • Reassembly with mixed boards
  • Local transportation only
  • 71% lower carbon footprint
Repaired Pallet
3.4 kg
CO2 per pallet
  • Minimal new materials needed
  • Low-energy repair process
  • Existing structure preserved
  • Shortest transport distance
  • 88% lower carbon footprint

Figures are estimated based on industry lifecycle analyses. Actual values may vary depending on pallet size, condition, and distance.
